My commercial coach, Tina Morasco, haas a great maxim: "Always assume benevolence."

So many times we make shit up in our heads. Stories about how this person is screwing us, or that one is unresponsive, or the other one doesn't understand blah blah blah.

Stop telling yourself stories. The default should be they're good people doing the best they can and I don't know their whole story.

A Thought to Touch You*

Yes, your demo should sound professional. But more importantly, it should feel relevant.

If you’re trying to book medical narration, but your demo includes a beer ad and a wacky character voice? That’s noise, not value.

Your demo is a sales tool.
