They tell themselves they’ll “see what comes up,” then sprint after every glimmer of opportunity. By March, they’re exhausted and no closer to their real goals. The pro treats strategic planning like a job requirement. Their January is the most important month of their business year because they set the plan for how the whole year will unfold.
